What is Law Day?

In 1961, Congress passed a joint resolution designating May 1 as the national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law. Law Day underscores how law and the legal process contribute to the freedoms that all Americans share.

Civic Engagement

Civic engagement is critical to the Rule of Law and that engagement begins with education. Each year, the U.S. Courts in St. Louis offer lessons for the classroom and special courthouse programming that brings the Constitution and the courts to life for students.
