Landmark Federal Court Cases

Landmark Cases will give you the tools you need to study cases of historical and legal significance with your students.  Many example cases are given, though the skills learned can be applied to any case or issue.

A landmark case is a court case that is studied because it has historical and legal significance.  The most significant cases are those that have had a lasting effect on the application of a certain law, often concerning your individual rights and liberties.  We study landmark cases to understand how the judicial branch works, and to see how past decisions affect future court cases, and our everyday lives.

The student material for Landmark Cases can be found in our Online Student Center.
