Transportation Grants

T
he Judicial Learning Center, Inc. will consider applications from teachers and school administrators whose schools are unable to fund the costs of transportation in connection with educational field trips to the Judicial Learning Center in the Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse. Each grant is limited to a $500.00 maximum per school/teacher applicant, per academic school year. Fund requests are considered by the Judicial Learning Center’s Board of Directors throughout the year. Grant applications should be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the event/need for the requested funding.

Summary of Application Requirements (see application form for complete details)

  • Complete the application form.
  • Attach a one-page cover letter, detailing the background of your school/organization, the purpose for funding, and the basic budget information. See application form for complete requirements.
  • Contact your transportation company and obtain a quote or invoice. The transportation service provider must submit a written quote or invoice as verification of the expected cost.
  • You will be notified by email of the status of your application. Please be sure to provide a valid email address for this purpose.

Receiving payment

Grant funds will be paid directly to the transportation service provider based on an invoice stating the actual cost of the service provided. Payment will be made for the actual cost, not to exceed $500. Once your field trip is complete, you must submit the final invoice verifying the actual cost.
