Understanding U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Visit the Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse and attend an informative session about the path to U.S. citizenship. Learn about the steps to naturalization, the true meaning of the Oath of Allegiance, and the historical background of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (formerly the INS). Session will conclude with an actual naturalization ceremony. Speakers will include representatives from the USCIS Office, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Understanding the Appeal Process – The Path to the Supreme Court
This program will take you to the 29-story Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse. You’ll visit the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, an intermediary court in the federal system, and observe an oral argument. You’ll get the opportunity to learn about the appeal process from the Clerk of the Court. The program also includes a short building tour, and many stunning aerial views of downtown St. Louis.
